Have you had a good week?
Mine was going swimmingly until I got stung by a blinking scorpion on my arm, in my bed at midnight last night! Poor Phil. I felt the whack which was much like being zesa’d and I turned over and whacked Phil in turn to get him to switch on his light so that I didn’t collide with the pesky critter a second time. Talk about dazed and confused - Phil I mean.
Me: AAAAAAHHH and then whacks Phil.
Phil: Huh? What’s going on?
Me: Switch your light on. Switch your light on! SWITCH YOUR LIGHT OOOONNN!!
Phil: I’m TRYING TO SWITCH MY LIGHT ON! What’s going on?
Me: I’ve just been stung by a scorpion!
Finally light goes on and the scuttlely culprit is spotted speeding down over the bed.
Phil: Scorpion?!
Me: Scorpion - get IIIIIITTTT!!
Phil (trying to find some alertness): can I get you anything? What can I do?
Me (rushing off to open up the kitchen to get the remedies before I’m sure my whole arm will fall off): JUST FIND THAT THING AND GET RID OF IT!
I’m normally a scoop-and-save on all creatures, but I’m afraid, not this time!!
MAN those things are sore.
Soon, we are off to Harare for a joint 150th birthday party. One of the aunties is turning 70 and the other is turning 80!
So, if you need any African Apothecary stuff, please let me know!
The prices haven’t changed and the rate is still 18 this week.
