I found this post on Instagram and thought you might like to see it too.
I’m so so grateful I’m no longer spiraling down the rabbit hole of not eating this and not eating that according to which ever diet is 'du jour'. It just is rather absurd if you think about it. I wonder how much dis-ease is down to stigmas we face/ social anxiety/ lack of authentic connection/ lack of perceived safety/ lack of actual safety/ adrenal fatigue etc etc; rather than a bit of eggplant causing a bit of inflammation? Obviously if you are actually allergic to eggplant, then best avoid it, but otherwise, see how your body feels and use that as your guide. (By the way - easier said than done, but I think that's a much better and more sustainable plan than cutting out things.)

Foods should only be avoided if:
1) we are allergic to them
2) we don’t enjoy them*
*but we should still be open to trying them again every once in a while bc preferences can change, providing opportunity for more variety!
